I’m still always thinking about the craft-angle of my blog….and how it’s lacking in that department! I recently added a new section entitled “TUTORIALS” where I plan to add step-by step instruction for simple, useful, fun, frugal crafting projects. There’s a section for upcycled or repurposed clothing, edibles & sweets, paper craft & mache, baby & toddler playthings, and the newest addition……CRAFTY CHRISTMAS CRUNCH.
So, here’s what I’m thinking…..
25 moms – 25 projects – 25 days!
I’m seeking 24 crafty moms that would be interested in offering up a step-by-step tutorial on some sort of crafty (anything) related to the Christmas Season. Can be winter related in general. Looking for simple, affordable projects….kid-friendly is great, but anything from sewing, knitting, decorative…recipes even, if they lean towards innovative & crafty. I know every mom has a heartful of great creative projects, so to make it fair/simple….I’ll be accepting crafty moms on a first come basis. So………..if you’re interested…..reply ASAP.
WHAT’S REQUIRED ON YOUR PART?
- Pick a craft project you think is cool.
- Put together a step-by-step “Tutorial” on how to pull it off!
- PHOTOS ARE A MUST!!!
- Email the whole shabang to me (firstname.lastname@example.org)
That’s all there is to it!
WHAT DO YOU GET OUT OF IT?
Ummm….the sheer enjoyment of sharing your creativity with others! 🙂 Oh, and hopefully TRAFFIC! 🙂
EVERYONE THAT’S INVOLVED IN THIS PROJECT AGREES TO HAVE THEIR TUTORIAL SHARED ON EACH OTHERS BLOGs! SO, I GUESS THE IDEA IS THAT ALL 25 MOMS CAN ADD A SECTION TO THEIR BLOG ENTITLED “CRAFTY CHRISTMAS CRUNCH”, WHERE THEY CAN HOST ALL THE TUTORIALS FOR THEIR FOLLOWERS. EVERYONE WILL GET THIS COOL “Crafty Christmas Crunch” BUTTON TO DIRECT FOLLOWERS TO THEIR TUTORIAL GALLERY/SECTION.
NOTE: All tutorials need to be collected in advance of December. 1st.
I’ll put each project into a separate folder, then into a main folder “Crafty Crunch”…zip it, and forward it to everyone participating. That way……each project can be easily post-dated for the 25 days leading up to, and including Christmas. So, if things get crazy (as they normally do towards Christmas)….think of it as (at least) having DAILY content to post to your blog for the entire month of December, almost. 25 days worth anyway. 🙂
