Xmas shopping savings at Kohl's = Huge Savings!!!

Normally I shop for James' clothes at Goodwill, but he's at an odd stage/size where there isn't much in the infants section, and the next section (boys) is mostly too big. Plus, slim pickin's for cold weather outfits. He's just 8 months now (TODAY) :) and he's
wearing size 18 - 24 mos!!! Some brands he's wearing 2T+. :/

Anyway...been getting chilly here, and he didn't have much to wear, so Beth suggested we head to Kohl's for this sale they're having on Carter's. Actually....most everything in the store is 50% off!!! Including toys, although I didn't have enough $ to do any Christmas shopping.

Together Beth and I got about $200 worth of clothes for James' (and a few items for ourselves) for about $80 dollars!!!!!!!!!!!! There's a $10 OFF coupon when you spend $50. We each spent $40, but they gave us one anyway (for the combined total)(checkout lady was sweet). We also got 2 $5.00 OFF coupons for giving them our email addresses. So, that's $20 more savings (on next purchase)!!!!! There's also an extra 30% OFF when you apply for a Kohl's card. If you already have a card it's automatic 30% off. So, that's like 80% OFF everything we bought!!!!! WOW! I was impressed!!!!

James picked out a blouse for me. He ripped it off the hanger while I was wheeling him through the store. LOL. It's this cotton, Indian shirt. Black with white embroidery; he loves that combo. And.......he wouldn't let go of it, with this big grin. So, had to get it. It was reg $56.00 and I got it for $10 dollars.

Now he's already for winter with about 6 pairs of pants, about 10 warm shirts, and 4 pairs of pajamas!

Update on the Huggies Super Deal...

Wrote earlier about the pain in the ass of having to watch 20 videos on Rite Aid, and scour the web for coupons, wrestle with printer(s), and hunt for paper. Plus....Mystery of the Mysterious Vanish Ink ordeal...every time I want to print something. I swear I just put a new cartridge in! Anyway...got it all together and made it to Rite Aid, of course.....no diapers in James' size. Not the pure & natural ones. There were 3 pack of Little Movers left in size 4, but I didn't have those coupons. And, they aren't getting a new shipment of diapers till Tuesday. He needs them now!

No problem. Ran home to print up new (little movers) coupons. I won't go quietly into the dark! I was only able to find one, from the Huggies site. Why, oh why do they only allow you to print one frigging coupon from those sites?!?!? So...it's not going well. I hate that I'm even consumed with this (non) ordeal! Really I should be using cloth diapers!!!! If I could count on my sewing machine better....but that sounds like an excuse!

I'll keep looking. There are coupons for everything else, just not Little Movers. :/ Figures. And the challenge continues....

Gonna try the Huggies Pure & Natural Coupon Thing....

Seen a hundred posts on the Rite Aid, Huggies, Pure & Natural diaper discount thing....and, again.....it's such always such a pain in the ass for me to do stuff like that. First, i don't really get it. Not much to get, but...IDK. I watched a couple dozen videos on the Rite Aid site to get my $1 off coupon + a $4 off $20 purchase. Luckily I didn't see/click the $4 one, bcuz my printer was out of ink...and I LOST it! This was after I had to hunt around the house for spare sheets of printing paper! I dragged my other printer out, and printed up the $4 coupon. I was only allowed to print up one $3 off coupon for the Huggies, on one of those coupon sites. By then I was worn out on the whole thing. Luckily I'd already printed some up a couple weeks ago. Then I had to search forever for a link to the $5 off $25 purchase coupon, bcuz it wouldn't print from the sites I tried. Finally found a direct link that worked.

Blah, blah, blah.

So, finally.....I have a $4 off/$20 purchase, and a $5 off/$25 purchase, and 3 $3 off on jumbo pack of Pure & Natural. Plus......can't forget that I went through the rigmarole of signing up for a Rite Aid wellness card to get the UP points, and 10% thingy. Long sigh! Have no idea if any of this is gonna work, but...IF the diapers are on sale for the $8.99 that everyone claims, and IF they have them in James' size........<roll eyes> then, it should look something like...........

3 x $8.99 = $26.97 - $5 - $4 - $9 (3 x $3 each) = $8.97

Not sure I get the 10% as a standard discount with the Wellness card, or if it's only on specialty marked items?!? Or if the $2 (each pkg) Up rewards things will print out or not, but since those are off my 'next' purchase...not counting on those aspects. If things go well, I get 3 packages of diapers for the price of one. If things go really well.....all in all....in theory....it'll be $0.27 for 3 packs.

Still...................the whole thing has been exhausting! I don't know how you coupon clipping, discount hound moms do it!!! I really don't!
