Kidney Cleanse

melon[one_eleven]Urine is rich in various salts (calcium oxalate, uric acid, cystine, xanthine) that build up on the inside of the kidneys. For various reasons, such as chronic dehydration, infection, stress, lack of adequate exercise – these salts can become highly concentrated, super-saturated, and begin forming crystals, which over time form stones. Stones may also form in the ureter or bladder.

Keep your Kidneys healthy by drinking plenty of water, eating melons, avoiding dehydration, reducing caffeine, avoiding chemicals, keeping a healthy diet, and doing maintenance kidney cleanses/flushes.

It takes a LOT of liquid to wash out the inside of the body, and produce a gallon of urine a day!

80% of North Americans are CHRONICALLY DEHYDRATED!!!

The kidneys are part of the urinary and endocrine systems. They are two of the most important internal organs in the body – primarily for filtering blood, and producing and regulating hormones. The kidneys filter and flush toxic chemicals from the bloodstream. The kidneys maintain a stable balance and internal environment for cells, by regulating water, electrolytes, and acid-base balances.

[text]One of the simplest method for flushing the kidneys has only one ingredient – watermelon. Get 2 -3 large watermelons. It’s simple, but it’s not at all easy to consume this much. You have to – all in one day!! As much as you can stand!! Continually empty your bladder as you go along. People have had great success with this protocol, passing large and small stones, as well as grit/sand crystals.    [/text]

[toggle_item] [toggle_head color=”color”]Watermelon Seed Tea[/toggle_head]

[text] Edgar Cayce recommended this tea as a powerful diuretic, with healing, strengthening, and purifying qualities. A simple, natural stimulant with no side-effects. At least once a day, three times a week, take watermelon seed tea. Pour boiling water over one tablespoon of ground watermelon seeds, and allow to steep. Cool and strain before drinking. The tea should be made FRESH at each use.  [/text]

[text]Same recipe as above. Pour boiling water over one tablespoon of ground celery seed seed, and allow to steep. Cool and strain before drinking. The tea should be made FRESH at each use.

Celery seed if a VERY powerful uterine stimulant. DO NOT USE IF YOU ARE PREGNANT!!! Celery seed also contains strong volatile oil that can be toxic to the kidneys if consumed in too great an amount, or for those have serious kidney problems. Allergic reaction is rare.

Celery seed has an immediate, direct action on the kidneys, increasing urine elimination, and speeding up detoxification from the joints, which is an added bonus for those with arthritis or similar. In combination with Dandelion it increases the efficiency of elimination – both for kidneys and liver. Celery seed is also good for diabetes (working as a hypoglycaemic) .

Celery seed is very helpful for those sufffering from an over-supply of uric acid. Celery contains large amounts of potassium and organic sodium, that help rid the body of waste material, by stimulating skin, bowels, and kidneys. It re-balances the acid/alkaline system, and may be useful in the prevention of certain cancers. [/text]

[list class=”square”] [list_item] sweetening if needed .[/list_item] [/list]

Root Drink

Measure out 1/4 of each root (half the amount of each), and soak them together in a glass container that will hold at least 10 cups of water. Add B2 powder, and let steep for 4 hours or overnight. Heat to boiling, simmer 20 minutes. Add black cherry concentrate (8oz), and bring back to a light boil. Strain into a glass container. Drink 3/4 cup by sipping SLOWLY throughout the day (stir in the 2 HCI drops into the glass you’re using). Refrigerate half the entire mixture for use in week 1, and freeze the other half for week 2.

It’s suggested that you do this cleanse for 6 weeks to get good results – longer if your problems are more serious.

Morning Parsley Drink

Soak fresh parsley in HCI-water (1 drop per cup), add a pinch of vitmain B2, let sit 2 minutes to kill off any contaminates. Drain. Add 2 pints water, and lightly boil for 1 minute. Drain into glass jar. Cool. Pour off 1/2 cup, add 2 drops HCI, and sip separately or add to your root drink. Same – refrigerate half and freeze half. Throw the parsley in the compost. Always add HCI drops to each beverage, just before consuming to sterilize.

Each morning, pour together 3/4 cups root tea, and 1/2 cup parsley tea into large mug. Add 30 drops of goldenrod tincture, and spice if wanted (cinnamon, clove, nutmeg). Add a pinch of B2, and 4 drops HCI to sterilize. Drink this mix in divided doses throughout the day. Do not drink all at once or you will get a stomach ache and feel too much pressure in your bladder. If your stomach is very sensitive, start with half this dose, and build up over a few days.

Take the supplements before a meal, to avoid indigestion. If you’re already taking any of these supplements – don’t double up.

NOTE: Both these teas can easily spoil. Reheat to boiling every third day if it’s being stored in the fridge. Add the HCI drops before drinking. Use glass containers.

When you order your herbs – be cautious – when it comes to quality! It can sometimes be fresher, and cheaper to buy whole root, or unprocessed herbs and grind them yourself in a coffee or spice mill, or even mortar and pestle (old school). Make sure the herbs and roots have a strong fragrance to them! Order from reputable companies, with lots of good reviews on their products. Take a look at my resource section for the companies I trust. Some of these have affiliate programs I belong to, and I appreciate any orders you make through the site!!
