This ad popped up this morning, and....maybe I'm not awake yet, but it feels so "wrong". I'm well aware of my outsider-perspective, but seriously?? Does this sit right with anyone?
For everyone 1 noodle used, Kraft will donate 10? I suppose a few million people playing along with amount to a lot of mac & cheese or the "needy", but really?? Is that where we're at? Is that how far we've progressed come 2012? And...
What worse sorta junk could be donated to help those in need? A diabolic concoction of highly-processed, dwarf wheat, and dangerous, artificial colors, flavors & preservatives. Just fun and games. Take a few minutes out of your hectic schedule to play along, and feel that you're doing something worthwhile at the same time. This is another example of "virtual activism" that pisses me off.
"Oh, I got involved today! I signed 10 online petitions, had a virtual makeover, and helped donate 1000 noodles to hungry kids! I feel GREAT about myself!"
While I'm at it....need to post about the Chick-Fil-A thing!
