Anger over secret drug trials on Indian children

Indian activists have reacted angrily after 12 doctors were fined less than $100 each for conducting secret drug trials on children and patients with learning disabilities.

The Madhya Pradesh state government said the tests had not been cleared by health authorities, and it added that the doctors refused to disclose further details citing patient confidentiality laws.

Anand Rai, a doctor who acted as a whistleblower in the case, told AFP on Tuesday he was angry and frustrated that the scale of the punishment would not deter future illegal trials.

“The Madhya Pradesh government has now slapped a nominal 5,000-rupee ($94) penalty on the 12 government doctors who were involved in the bizarre case,” he said. “The penalty was for their failure to inform about the trials.”

“All drug trials were performed on patients who had gone to these government hospitals for routine treatment. It’s a criminal offence to put them under drug trials without their consent.”

Ajay Singh, the leader of opposition in the Madhya Pradesh assembly, described the fine as “ridiculous”.

The doctors, two of whom denied any wrongdoing to AFP, are alleged to have been paid by companies to conduct trials on 233 patients over two years in the city of Indore testing drugs to treat sexual dysfunction and other problems.

Human rights groups have raised concern that India has been turning into a hot spot for drug trials, with hospital patients used as guinea pigs for the world’s pharmaceutical companies, often without consent.

Low costs, weak laws and inadequate enforcement and penalties are blamed for making India an attractive destination for conducting the tests.

Rai, who was suspended from his job after publicising the Indore cases, believes it will be many years before the malpractice can be curbed.

“Drug trials are increasing here because they cost just one-sixth of what they do in the West,” he said.

“The regulatory system here is comparatively corrupt, and pharmaceutical companies can easily register patients and begin trials.

“In developed countries, it would take six months to register five patients, whereas in India in the same time they can conduct trials on 2,000 people.”

Faced with mounting criticism, the Indian Council of Medical Research last month sought proposals from doctors and health activists on new draft guidelines for compensation to be paid to people undertaking drug trials.

The guidelines say research participants who suffer physical injury should be entitled to financial or other assistance “to compensate them equitably for any temporary or permanent disability”, the Times of India newspaper reported.

WTF? Pre-K Government Propaganda, or innocent public health message?

Unfortunately these videos are disable from embedding, so will have to follow links to Youtube if you haven’t seen this episode.

Sid The Science Kid | Getting a Shot: You can do it!

Sid the Science Kid Gets a Flu Shot (song)

Not going to wax to crazy about conspiracy, but seriously…a little strange. Teaching about washing hands, and covering mouth when sneezing/coughing is one thing. My personal opinion is this cross the line. Would be just as strange to have an episode that discussed the dangerous of vaccinations. Neither is something I expect to see on a children’s show, on public television. I understand that show exists to help little ones work through their concerns and fears, but this isn’t really a matter for children. Is it? No harm done I guess….just weird!

Detox 2012: Coffee Enemas

For those who are into self-health…..coffee enema’s are an invaluable, common practice that work wonders. For everyone else, enema’s are an uncomfortable and taboo subject….something seldom performed, and usually as a last resort for severe constipation. One has to first understand that taking remedies orally has a limited effect. The digestive system has been very thoughtfully designed to be a “closed” system that doesn’t effect all parts of the body. This is incredibly important, bcuz when things are ingested that aren’t safe or healthy….the body can route it straight to the crapper, as everyone knows….who’s eaten a bad meal. For those that really want to take control of their own health, protocols will eventually head in a more southerly direction, where blood vessels, and mucus membranes, closer to the surface….aid in a better delivery of some remedies.

Coffee is something everyone has on hand, and despite reasonable concerns about taking it in the other end….it’s the most common enema for detoxing, and stimulating bile flow to help flush and clean the liver & gallbladder. If you really want to see results….it’s something to be added to your regime. First, you’ll have to get past the taboo of enemas. You’ll have to buy a enema bag. You’ll need a serious one, not the small, plastic, disposable types. The photo (right) is an enema, douche, water bottle from Walgreen’s for around $10. 2-quart capacity, and latex-free. Douching is another delivery route, and having a flexible hot-water bottle on hand never hurts, so it’s a good buy. The bag comes with a hook, to help gravity deliver flushes, and proudly displace your cleansing equipment! ;) What? Your shame will quickly turn to proud enthusiasm with the results.

On to the actual cleansing….

This protocol is from FloridaPie.com. Came across her site last night, and thought I’d show some love. She’s got some interesting videos on her youtube channel. At first glance, soft-porn comes more to mind then detoxing, but I like the idea that a woman can play around with her looks, have fun, and still be totally serious about natural health. Plus, out of all the sites I looked at….I liked her protocol the best.

FloridaPie’s 7 Day Detox Liver And Gallbladder Colon Cleanse.

FloridaPie suggests a “clean-burning” diet before starting. You can view her suggestions here (pretty simple).

Detoxification of the body is of the greatest importance!
Pregnant women should not use coffee enemas.Coffee as well as herbal enemas are great way too start detoxification of your body.
Coffee enemas enhance digestion by increasing bile flow and remove toxins in the large intestine so they cannot be absorbed.

If a coffee enema does not make you feel better you might be taking too many or too much, stop them for a day or two and then try again.
If you feel better after a coffee enema you probably need it.
The coffee enema has been used in hospitals to heal toxic shock and was part of orthodox medical technique listed in the Merk Manual for over seventy years [1898-1970s].

Coffee enemas are very stimulating to the liver, and are a great aid in eliminating its toxic poisons.
A coffee enema should be given every morning for one month, then twice a week for several more weeks.
Coffee enemas cause relaxation in the liver-gallbladder region which gives rapid relief of pain. You could even pass some gallstones.

Some health care practitioners suggest using the coffee enema up to 6 times daily for severely ill patients.

Here are some reasons for taking enemas
Small volume enemas to clean the rectum and lower colon, astringent enemas, to relieve inflammation in diarrhea, dysentery, nourishing enemas, given for wasting diseases, unconsciousness, and where it becomes necessary to administer nutrients by rectum, and enemas taken to thoroughly cleanse the entire length of the colon.
A basic dietary detox program, subtle colon stimuli are usually used to enhance colonic action. These may include herbal or pharmaceutical laxatives (an enema is better) , fiber and colon detox supplements, such as psyllium seed husks alone or mixed with other agents, aloe vera powder, bentonite clay, and acidophilus culture. Enemas using water, herbs, or coffee (stimulate liver cleansing) are sometimes used.

The caffeine used in enemas stimulates the liver and gallbladder to help remove toxins, open bile ducts, encourage increased peristaltic action, and produce the necessary enzyme activity for healthy red blood cell formation.

A coffee enema implant, it involves only a few ounces of brewed coffee.
Using a quart or more of coffee solution may be more difficult to retain for most individuals.
However, the use of a quart or two of coffee solution, and making sure the solution reaches most of the large intestine, is of great benefit for cleansing the colon of accumulated waste material. If one suspects severe bowel toxicity or in cases of serious illness, quart or multi quart enemas are preferable, at least to start with.

Their does not seem to be any negative effects of coffee enemas in those who need them.

Difficulties occasionally may arise if one has hemorrhoids. In these cases, extra care is needed in inserting the enema tip. (better lubrication is helpful in these cases) Vaseline is a better lubricant if a person has hemorrhoids.
Some people with hemorrhoids find enemas to irritating they would find it more comfortable if they used a lubricant.

A small number of people are unable to retain even a cup of coffee solution for the required 12 to 20 minutes. One can start with a weaker coffee solution and add more water in these cases. There seems to be no harm if one wishes to retain the enema longer than 20 minutes. While enemas may seem uncomfortable, many clients report the procedure is so helpful they soon forget the inconvenience.

These enemas will release old, encrusted colon waste, discharge parasites, freshen the intestinal tract and make the cleansing process easier and more thorough. Enemas accelerate any cleanse for optimum results. They are especially helpful during a healing crisis, after a serious illness to speed healing, or to remove drug residues. Migraines and skin problems like psoriasis are also helped with enemas. Adding herbs to the enemas serves to alkalize the large bowel , help control irritation and inflammation, and provide healing action to ulcerated or distended tissue.

Fresh wheatgrass juice enemas help stimulate the liver to cleanse. Wheatgrass juice enema nutrients are absorbed by the hemorrhoidal vein, just inside the anal sphincter, then circulate to the liver where they increase peristaltic action of the colon, and attract waste and old fecal matter like a magnet to be eliminated from the body. Wheatgrass juice tones the colon and is absorbed into the blood, adding oxygen and energy to the body.Use distilled water for an initial enema rinse of the colon.
Then use about a cup of water to 4 ounces of fresh wheatgrass juice.
Hold the juice for 10 to 20 minutes while massaging colon area. Then, expel.

Herbal implants are concentrated enema solutions for more serious health problems, like colitis, arthritis or prostate inflammation. Prepare for an implant by taking a small enema to clear out the lower bowel. You’ll be able to hold the implant longer.

A colonic irrigation the “super enema.”
I have used both colonics and enemas in detox programs. Benefits are matter of degree but they’re dramatically different, both in terms of waste removed and body improvement.
Your colon is over five feet long. If you want to cleanse all of it you need a colonic irrigation. Here’s how a colonic works. A colonic irrigation uses special equipment and gravity (or oxygen for more control) to give your colon an internal bath. The person receiving the colonic lies on a special board which is about three feet below the temperature-controlled water flow. A sterilized speculum is gently inserted in the rectum. Under the control of the practitioner, a steady flow of water gently flows from a small water tube.

There is no discomfort, not much internal pressure, just a steady gentle water flow in and then out of the colon through the evacuation tube, carrying with it impacted feces and mucous.

Unlike an enema, a colonic irrigation does not involve the retention of water. As the water flows out of the colon the practitioner gently massages the abdomen to help the colon release its contents, recover its natural shape, tone, and normalize peristaltic wave action. A view tube is available for observation and all colonic matter is contained in the equipment. You do nothing but lie back and relax while the entire colon is cleansed.

A colonic irrigation uses 30 to 40 gallons of water and takes about 60 minutes. The colonic procedure is not offensive, nor painful. The first things most people feel after a colonic irrigation is a sense of lightness, energy and an improved sense of well-being. Skin condition, digestion and immune response improve. Body odor and bad breath essentially disappear, as does belly distension.

Colonics or high enemas are best done in the early evening so that you can relax and retire for healing rest. For the best results take a green drink before and after the colonic.

Unlike a cleansing enema that takes only a few minutes to complete. A detox enema takes some time to finish!
There are several items you will need other than an enema bag.

I HAVE TO ADMIT THAT I HAVE NOT TRIED THIS PROTOCOL. I HAVE IT ADDED TO THE STEPS I’M TAKING FOR MY OWN DETOX, AND I WILL POST RESULTS, AND EXPERIENCES FROM IT. I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO THE EFFECTS. FROM ALL I’VE READ ON THE COFFEE ENEMA’S….THERE’S AN INCREDIBLE SENSE OF SPIRITUAL CALM AND WELL-BEING AFTERWARDS, AS IT SUPPOSEDLY WORKS WONDERS FOR PURGING TOXIC LOADS FROM THE BODY. THE ASPECT OF ENEMA’S THAT APPEALS TO ME….IS THAT IT’S OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE THAT THE BOWELS ARE EMPTYING QUICKLY WHEN DETOXING. A NATURAL LAXATIVE IS A MUST TO MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE TOXIC, DEATHLY GARBAGE YOUR BODY IS RELEASING……..IS QUICKLY ELIMINATED FROM YOUR SYSTEM….OTHERWISE IT WILL MAKE YOU FEEL MUCH MORE SICK!!!
I CAN STRESS THE IMPORTANCE OF ELIMINATION! WITH ENEMA’S THAT’S ALREADY GUARANTEED. SO MANY THAT UNDERTAKE DETOXING, DON’T PUT ENOUGH EMPHASIS ON THE ELIMINATION PART, WIND UP HAVING TERRIBLE, TOXIC EFFECTS FROM THE SLUDGE SITTING IN THEIR INTESTINES/COLON TOO LONG, AND IT’S SO SCARY……THEY NEVER END UP TRYING IT AGAIN!
I know that taking responsibility for your own health is a daunting task in itself, and many of the protocols are complex, and weird, and the opinions so varied. Searching for answers online….make it even more confusing. You’ll find one site that raves about the miraculous effects, and the next site will scare the shit of you dangers. When it comes right down to it…..FOLLOW YOUR OWN INNER GUIDANCE SYSTEM!!!!!!!!!!! ALWAYS!!!!! If it doesn’t feel right for you….don’t do it. If something feels right about it, but something is telling you to wait…listen, bookmark it, and get back to it later. Also feel free to come up with your own protocols (once you have an understanding of the all the aspects involved). Use muscle testing to help decide what the best course is for YOU.
With all that said………..
Know one thing is true…………………..it all really comes down to shitting out toxins! There’s no padding to that, and it’s not a joke. Decades of accumulated junk is being stored in your body, and it exits one way. True, it can also leech through your pores, but this is not in anyway efficient, nor is throwing up (another exit route). Nope…your bum is your best friend in detoxing. Respect it, and take advantage of it’s miraculous design!!! Shying away from it is disrespectful. Embrace your bum! Celebrate in it! :P

Castor Oil Therapy

Castor oil pack therapy has been used by humans for as long as we have recorded human history. It was seen as the most healing of agents in antiquity. So much, in fact, that ancient Romans came to call the Castor seed plant the Palma Christi, or “the hand of Christ.” Castor oil was viewed as the all-healing agent — almost divine in nature. Whether or not you are one to practice homeopathic or other natural remedies in the 21st century, the results obtained from Castor oil pack therapy typically speak for themselves – even among critics.

Castor oil is extracted from the seed of the Castor oil plant, whose botanical name is ricinus communis. And while it was Edgar Cayce who made Castor oil well known throughout the U.S. in the 20th century, it has a long history of use as a healing agent around the world. The Journal of Naturopathic Medicine published findings that Castor bean seeds, believed to be 4,000 years old, were found in many Egyptian tombs. Historical documents reveal the medicinal use of Castor oil in India, Africa, Greece, Rome, Egypt (for eye infections), China (for induction of childbirth and expulsion of the placenta), Persia (for epilepsy), Southern Europe, and the Americas.

Today Castor oil pack therapy remains an effective source of relief for a number of maladies. It is used for everything: general aches and pains, colds, flu, sciatica, eye infections, c-section healing, mastitis, arthritis, ulcers, and to decrease soreness/irritation/inflammation of almost any body organ – breasts, nipples, fingers, throats, abdomen, uterine cramping, etc. Castor oil pack therapy has been used to increase milk production among lactating women, and it is occasionally used to quickly and effectively heal the umbilicus of newborns, and is regularly used to stop hormone-related hair loss.

Castor oil pack therapy has also been used in the clinical setting for liver and gallbladder complications, abscesses, headaches, appendicitis, epilepsy, hemorrhoids, constipation, intestinal obstructions, hyperactivity, as well as in cases where pregnant women are at high risk of miscarriage.

Women have benefited from Castor oil pack therapy when used to avert breastfeeding issues (such as mastitis, clogged ducts, and general soreness/inflammation), and also to heal from birth (especially beneficial in cases of cesarean section or other healing from surgery). Castor oil has been used to treat ovarian cysts, fibroids, and heavy menstrual cycles.

Dr. Harold J. Reilly (2008) worked with Castor oil pack therapy for 45 years and told of one of his patients who’d been dealing with especially heavy menstrual cycles for 13 years. By the time this woman came to see Reilly, her problem was threatening her career as an opera singer, and had already impacted her home life as a mother and wife. Four leading gynecologists who reviewed her case all recommended surgery – ranging from D&C to total hysterectomy. Instead of surgery, Dr. Reilly put her on a regimen which included castor oil packs four days a week. This woman soon reported, “After the first two nights of the Castor oil packs, the spotting stopped, and this was remarkable, because it was just after my menstrual period, and usually that went on and on. By the end of the week, I sang in a concert and felt fine.”

Directions for Use

1) Always use a high-quality, cold-pressed Castor oil, available in health food stores.

2) Use a cotton or wool flannel cloth that is folded to the correct size (for the location you are using the pack on) and is several layers thick when folded.

3) Pour Castor oil into a pan and soak the cloth in the oil.

4) Wring out the cloth so that it remains wet, but not dripping.

5) Apply the cloth to the area which needs treatment.

6) Cover with plastic (saran wrap or even plastic bags cut open work great) and then apply heat if desired (a hot cloth, heat pack, etc.) to increase penetration of Castor oil. Do not use heat if there is already open infection at the site.

7) If you are resting on a bed or couch, towels can be put down to protect the surface you are relaxing on.
8) After the pack is in place, you can wrap a large towel around the body (if using on the abdomen or breast) or a smaller towel (if using on the throat/head). An ace bandage can be used to hold the pack in place on the arm or leg.

9) The pack should remain in place for 60-90 minutes. So r-e-l-a-x. Breath deep. Listen to soothing music. Meditate. Pray. Watch a feel-good movie. Read a book. Whatever helps you stay calm and just let go of your worries for the hour.

10) After 60-90 minutes, the skin should be cleansed with a baking soda solution: 1 teaspoon baking soda to 1 pint water. You can wipe this over the area you treated in the shower (if desired) and shower off.

11) The flannel pack can be re-used several times. Do NOT throw it away. Put it into a ziplock baggie for future uses. It does not need to be rinsed or cleaned. The Castor oil soaked into it is fine to leave as is. Next time, soak again before starting.

12) Repeat these steps daily, or for 4 consecutive days per week (4 days on, 3 days off), until results are obtained.

LIVER FLUSH: With or Without Gallbladder

Roughly 20 million Americans suffer from gallstones, and 750,000 of them have their gallbladders removed each year. There are 800,000 hospitalizations and 2 billion dollars spent annually on gallbladder disease.

For most people the pain of a malfunctioning gallbladder eventually becomes unbearable. After several trips to the emergency room the mention of surgery is met with certain approval. Unfortunately this seemingly simple solution may or may not end the pain and discomfort of gallbladder disease. The probable after-effects of gallbladder surgery are never discussed with the patient which leaves the patient with the impression that all will be back-to-normal after surgery. But it doesn’t take long to realize that all is “not well” and the patient soon begins to feel very betrayed by their surgeon and doctor who did not prepare them for “life without a gallbladder.”

Contrary to medical opinion the gallbladder is of use to the body. The gallbladder is a small sac underneath your liver that stores and secretes bile, a digestive fluid that breaks down fats. Gallstones form when the chemical compounds in bile become unbalanced — no one’s sure exactly why this happens, but a diet high in fat often makes the problem worse. Since bile is actually produced by the liver, it’s possible to survive without a gallbladder, but often not without unpleasant digestive tract complications. The gallbladder is like a pump. Without it, the liver can’t secrete enough bile to properly digest a full meal. Many people experience symptoms such as diarrhea, gas, abdominal pain, bloating, indigestion, constipation, increased allergies, liver congestion, itchy skin and autoimmune diseases. Some patients suffer from dumping syndrome, in which food is “dumped” too quickly into the intestines from the stomach.

Suggestions for living without a gallbladder:
If your gallbladder is removed your LIVER will still produce bile.   It won’t be the amount that the gallbladder was able to store, but enough.  Eat lower fat foods and smaller portions at each meal. Diet is extremely important. Eat low-fat, high fiber, organic and healthy. Eliminate refined carbohydrates and hydrogenated oils.

LIVER FLUSH: Every four months a liver flush should be performed. People without gallbladders may develop stones in the liver which will lead to a sluggish liver. Remember that the liver is the main filter of the body.

DIGESTIVE ENZYMES: There’s tons on the market, everything from papin ( derived from papays) to ox bile supplements.

REDUCE CHEMICAL LOAD: Everything from pre-packaged, processed, and fast food, to personal care products, lawn products, perfumes, cosmetics, home cleaning products, etc. ESPECIALLY STAY AWAY FROM SOLVENTS!

DRINK DISTILLED WATER: Try to drink 1/2 of your body weight in ounces of water every day.

USE A PROBIOTIC & ADD NATURALLY FERMENTED FOODS: Yogurt, kefir,  miso, sauerkraut, kimchi, natto, tempeh (Link for details).

REDUCE ANIMAL PRODUCT INTAKE (MEAT & DIARY): When consuming animal products make sure they are free-range, organic and hormone-free.

ELIMINATE: WHITE SUGAR, WHITE FLOUR, AND SIMPLE CARBOHYDRATES. EAT WHOLE GRAINS IN SMALL QUANITIES.

EXTRA MEASURES

Activated Charcoa- Some people have found that this helps with symptoms as it helps to sequester bile acid.  Charcoal also inhibits other nutrients from being absorbed.  Be careful and do not use around food or supplement consumption.

Chinese Bitters

Exercise 30 minutes a day. Walking is highly suggested.

Sunshine – Get 30 minutes of sunshine on as much of your body as is legal, everyday. Necessary for adequate Vitamin D production.

Following the above suggestions will ensure that your digestive system operates to its fullest and will help to alleviate many of the side-effects from gallbladder removal.

So your gallbladder is gone…that’s the past. It’s time to move on and educate yourself in getting healthy and feeling better. Following the above suggestions will ensure that your digestive system operates to its fullest and will help to alleviate many of the side-effect from gallbladder removal. You can feel good again after gallbladder surgery, but for most it will mean committing to a total lifestyle change…one that will also be beneficial in keeping the whole body healthy. As with most disease, prevention is always the best solution, but when disease happens remember that there are always solutions and always hope.

The Standard Method for the Liver and Gallbladder Flush

  1. Freshly squeeze some citrus fruits such as grapefruit, orange, lemon and limes to make 300 mls of juice. This will have a slightly sour taste, which is good, as bitter tasting fruits and vegetables stimulate the flow of bile from the liver and gall bladder. Dilute this juice with 200mls of filtered water.
  2. Finely grate 1 to 2 cloves of fresh garlic and half a teaspoon of fresh ginger, and then press both in a garlic press to make juice. Add this juice to the water and citrus juice mixture. Garlic and ginger are liver cleansing.
  3. Pour 300mls of good quality cold pressed olive oil into a warm glass.
  4. Every 15 minutes swallow 3 tablespoons of the citrus juice mixture and 3 tablespoons of the olive oil. Try to relax in between these 15 – minute intervals. Some people find it beneficial to lie down on their right side with a hot water bottle over the liver area, which helps to dilate the bile ducts to allow the passage of small stones and sludge from the gall bladder. Others prefer to sit in a warm bath, which also helps to dilate the bile ducts.
  5. If you desire, collect all your bowel actions (they may be loose and messy) into a bucket and when the flush is over, place them in a large strainer or colander and run tap water over them. You will probably find many greenish stones/gritty sludge around the size of a lentil or slightly larger. There may also be some large soft stones full of fatty cholesterol. Some people may not want to collect their bowel actions and are content to hear the stones clanging as they land in the toilet bowl!

Some people who do this flush may find that they feel very nauseated (bilious), and/or vomit several times. Abdominal cramps and diarrhea may accompany this, before the stones are passed.

Alternative Method for the Liver and Gallbladder Flush

  1. Drink one litre of organic unsweetened apple juice daily for five days. This will soften up the stones to such an extent that they can be squashed with the fingers. During these five days eat only raw fruits and vegetables and no dairy products, red meat or chicken.
  2. On the sixth day, skip dinner and at 6 p.m. take a tablespoonful of Epsom salts with 3 glasses of water. Repeat this at 8 p.m.
  3. At 10 p.m. make a cocktail of 115ml of olive oil and 115ml of fresh squeezed lemon juice. Shake this very well and drink immediately.
  4. Next morning you will pass green stones varying from the size of grains of sand to as large as your thumb nail. You may be amazed at the results, as have many thousands of people who have used this technique to avoid surgery.

Preparation for the flush:

  • To prepare for the flushing procedure, it is recommended that during the two days prior to the commencement of the flush, you consume only raw fruits and vegetables and drink 2 litres of water daily. This preparation will lessen the chance of a bad reaction.
  • Begin the liver flush in the morning after some brisk walking and deep breathing exercises. Make sure that you drink 2 litres of water gradually by sipping it slowly during the day otherwise the flush may induce dehydration. Some protagonists of this procedure recommend that you begin the flush at 7 p.m. because they believe that the gall bladder is “more active at night”. This may be true; however you will not get much sleep that night, if you decide to do the flush while the moon is shining!
  • If you are a person who forms recurrent gall stones you can do this flush 3 times every year to prevent gall stones from building up. Some people do it every month and find that it does not cause any problems or side effects. If you follow the dietary guidelines found in Dr Cabot’s Healthy Liver and Bowel book, you should not have to do this procedure very often because a healthy liver manufactures healthy bile, which prevents gall bladder inflammation and gallstones.
  • We do know that family history often plays a part in liver and gall bladder disease so if you find yourself with gallstones, have a good look at your family history and take extra special care of your liver.
  • Gallstones are more common during pregnancy. If gallstones are recurrent in younger persons, this may be a sign of an underlying blood disease.

Caution

Certain people such as pregnant women, young children, very elderly and frail people, insulin-dependent diabetics or those with severe liver disease or an acutely inflamed gallbladder, should not try the liver/ gallbladder flush and should discuss it with their own doctor.

Ideally a qualified health practitioner should supervise your gallbladder flush. At the very least, never do the flush alone, so that if you do dislodge a large stone and get severe pain, your companion can take you to medical care.

Always check with your own doctor before doing the liver/gall bladder flush.

Detox Journal: 1 day left for old habits!

Sitting here enjoying a coffee, and cigarette.  :Tears: Still thinking about the game plan. Think James and I are over the worst of our cold. James still has a bit of a snotty nose, and his eye are red. I’m still getting a light coughing, with a terrible headache, but much improved after us having a nice hot bath last night with MMS (Mineral Miracle Solution). 20 drops activated with 1.5 teaspoons of citric acid. Will do another MMS bath tonight. I also gargled with it last night before bed, and no coughing throughout the night. Unfortunately James can’t gargle.

Thinking I will start the detox by doing the original MMS protocol, working up to 6 drops a day. Quit smoking, and drinking coffee, stop all processed foods. Replace any sugar use (which is slight) with Xylitol. Only drink distilled water mix….my own concoction of distilled water, black strap molasses, fresh squeezed lemon juice, and cayenne pepper. It’s the recipe for the Master Cleanse drink, but replacing molasses for the maple syrup, and adding a little ionized sea salt. A healthy version of Gatorade. I’ll go easy on the pepper, as I want James to be drinking this as well. No more store bought juice, soda, etc. For drinking I also have a tart cherry concentrate that can be added to distilled water, or drizzled on yogurt, oatmeal, etc. Is really amazing stuff!!

Foods will be simple and basic. The only grains will be brown rice, and steel cut oats. Lots of seeds, and nuts, and cold-pressed oils and fats (coconut, olive, etc). No butter. No dairy, except whole milk yogurt. I love Fage yogurt, and don’t see much harm in eating it, as long as all the rest of the junk is being cut out. I also think Kefir is good. I was making my own, but dropped the ball on it, and went too long without feeding the Kefir. Will have to buy a new batch of ‘mother’ to do more. Will be adding more naturally fermented foods…..miso, and sauerkraut off the top of my head. As for meats??? Not sure yet. Will cut back on it for the most part, as well as eggs. Occasionally grass-fed, cage free eggs, more fish, less chicken, and red meat. I’ll probably replace this protein with beans/legumes.

I’ll start with the supplements I’ve gathered as well….which is a pretty length list. A prenatal multi-vitamin, Lactoferrin, Fermented Turmeric, Organic Apple Cider Vinegar capsule, and Norwegian Cod Liver Oil. There’s a few others I can’t remember at the moment.

I’m going to put of the Urine Therapy for a week or two….till I get the initial cleanse going, and get some of the bacterial load down. I got half of my mouth/teeth deep cleaned and still have to do the other half………to the tune of $500. Plus a tooth fixed/pulled that cracked in half over a month ago. That’s not helping. Everything starts with oral health….to be sure! It’s a must to get that taken care of. Shitty that it’s so expensive!

That’s it to start. Need to figure out a protocol for liver flush. There are several to find online. After taking care of dental health, the liver/gallbladder is next. I had my gallbladder removed last year, so need to take that into account. It’s very, very important to have the liver clean and working optimally…..in order to achieve any sort of cleanse. I’ll post about that more when I figure out what I’m doing with it.

After the liver flush…..can move on to a parasite flush/cleanse. I’ll post more about that down the line as well. James will be subject to a lot these changes. More raw fruits and vegetables, more water. He’s still breastfeeding so he gets some good nutrition with that. No more junk food, which means that I’m going to have to have a serious talk with his Aunt Beth!! The house is full of cookies, cake, chips, crap cereal…..all within reach and eye sight. That will have to change. Everything is going to be homemade, and fresh. Beth took him to the store this morning and they came back with prepared garlic Texas toast, orange soda, potato chips, cake, and chocolate covered pretzels!!!!!!!!!!! A SERIOUS talk!!!  :D isapproval:

There’s still the emotional, mental, spiritual side of the cleanse/detox, but I suppose I’ll have to play that by ear……as shit arises!

One day left for OLD HABITS!!!
